Pray
As in all things, start this process by praying for guidance and for seeking answers as to who else can help you lead this effort. This is not a one man job. You will need help!

Pastor
Its important to involve your pastor early in the process. Its also important for your pastor to know this will not be another burden on his shoulders. Quite the opposite. As a lay led organization we want to help him in his mission. Still, his buy-in is critical. He may also help you find experienced leaders to help.
